Setting a Use Code

The use code of an element can be used for several purposes:

  • Objects which have the same material code may have a different use code. The use code data is saved into the element. The use code is also collected to the material report. The use of this function requires customization.
  • You can search for a component to be changed on the grounds of the use code. When you are defining the component change rule, use the parameter COMP_USE in the search criteria.

Set the use code of an element as follows:

  1. Select one or more elements.
  2. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
