Select the Text Editor
Various kinds of lists and schedules of a building are opened in a word processor of the user's choice. It is possible to set the default word processor in the system settings using the text_editor keyword. Up until Vertex BD 2024 (30.0), the word processor was defined in the ../user/SETUP file. Starting with version 2025 (31.0), the keyword value in the system settings overrides the keyword value set in the user/SETUP file.
The format of the system settings keyword is:

You can also set Microsoft Word as the text editor by entering the full name of the program file with the file path as the keyword value. Add quotation marks around the file name. The file path depends on the operating system and Office version. For example:

- Microsoft has confirmed that WordPad is no longer being updated and it will be removed from Windows 11, starting from version 24H2.
