Add a Drawing-Model Pair as a Reference Drawing

Add a drawing belonging to a drawing-model pair of the open project as a reference drawing as follows:

  1. Do either of the following:
    • Select Modeling | Drafting | Reference Drawings > Quick Load Drawing-Model Pair.
    • Select Drafting | Tools | Reference Drawings > Quick Load Drawing-Model Pair.
  2. Select a drawing from the Drwg-Model Pairs button menu.
  3. If the drawing you select is already added as a reference drawing to the open drawing, you will be prompted: "Reference drawing already exists. Continue?" Do either of the following:
    • Select No and check if you have hidden the reference drawing.
    • Select Yes. The program will add the reference drawing.

The program adds the reference drawing so that the absolute origins of the drawings meet.

Note:
  • You can fix building components in the active drawing model pair to the ones in the reference drawing with geometric constraints.
  • If you want to add the floor plan of another project as a reference drawing, use the function Load a Reference Drawing.
