Add a Standard Text
Dictionaries contain standard texts (names and marking conventions) that all drawing designers should use.
Dictionaries can be grouped so that it is easier for the user to find a dictionary belonging to a specific category. The user can pick one or several texts at a time from a dictionary to a drawing.
The dictionary is selected in the dialog box when adding a text. The user can pick one or several text lines at a time from the dictionary.
Text added from a dictionary can be edited and removed similarly to ordinary text.
Add text from dictionary as follows:
- On the Drafting tab, select the Text type that you want the standard text to be added.
- Enter the text in the window.
- If necessary, open the advanced option of the Text Dialog Box by clicking the Advanced button in the dialog box.
- Select on the Standard Texts list, Dictionary.
- Select in the Previous /Standard Texts window, all rows you want to add to the drawing, and select Add.
- Click the location of the text.
The users can maintain and supplement the dictionaries themselves.
