Panel Numbering

Framer

By default, wall, floor and roof panels are numbered individually: each panel is assigned its own label, regardless of whether there are other identical panels or in which floor the panel is.

You can also select a floor or a building based numbering.
  • Floor based numbering: all identical panels in the same floor get the same label.
  • Building based numbering: all identical panels get the same label regardless of the floor.

Change the Numbering System of Panels

You can choose the numbering system for wall panels in the wall panel settings when you generate the wall panel breaks.

The Wall Panel Settings Dialog Box

Beam panels and truss panels use floor based numbering by default.

You can protect the numbers of the selected panels by creating a group of them. The numbers that the panels have in the group are not available outside the group. This can be useful when you want to protect the numbers of the panels that are going to production, for example. Changes in the numbering of panels outside the group will not affect the numbering of panels in the group.

Set Panels to a Group of Their Own

You can change the prefix of one or more panels.
