Add Pipe Component

Add a pipe assembly component. You can limit the component range by selecting a component's type among the common pipe component type shortcuts. For example Elbow, Reducer, Tee, Flange, Valve, Gasket, Instrument or Hose.

1. Select from the following options.
   • The Assembly tab > Add component group > Add pipe component. (G4)
   • The Piping tab > Piping group > Add pipe component. (G4 Plant).
   • Select the context-sensitive function Add> Pipe Component.
2. Select a component. Browser

   You can only select components that are suited to the active pipe's material and size from the component library.

3. Add a pipe component to a pipeline.
4. Before clicking a location for the component, you can choose whether to position the component by its handle or a point.
   • If you are positioning the component by its handle, you can change the location of the handle.
     
   • If you are positioning the component by a point, you can select the reference point from the component.
     
5. Select other auxiliary functions.
   • If necessary, rotate the component around, for example, the Z axis.
     
6. Select a location for the component.
7. Return to routing.
