Define a Weld Symbol

Define the welding symbol properties. The properties defined in the dialog box are displayed in the symbol preview.

Dialog Box Options

Marker

Defines the basic welding symbol. Select a symbol from the list.

Weld Face

Defines the surface shape of the welding. Select a welding symbol by clicking the button.

Cross section dimensions, Length dimensions

The cross-section dimensions and length dimensions define the welding dimensions. Enter the dimension value in the field, or make the program calculate the dimension value by selecting the Calculate Length checkbox.

Additional symbol

Defines the welding property Continuous weld, Site weld, Three sides.

The JIS selection will change the method of presentation for the symbol to comply with the Japanese standard.

Lower<->Upper

You can position the welding symbol above or below the line. Change the position with the Lower<->Upper button.

Backing

Select the backing by clicking the button.

Weld quality or other symbol

Enter the weld quality in the Quality Class field.

Intermittent

Defines a staggered intermittent weld. Enter the weld pitch value in the field.
