Use Shortcuts for Symbols

General

  • The program includes the possibility to open the symbol insertion browser with five shortcut key combinations.
  • You can also specify which directory each shortcut opens symbols for selection.
    • For example, Alt+1 opens the symbol selection browser for forms.

Select 2D symbols using the shortcut

Select Drawing | Symbols > Symbols (Alt+1)…. Symbols (Alt + 5)
  • or press the keys Alt 1 … Alt 5.
  • The program opens the symbol selection browser as follows
    • Symbol shortcut (Alt+1) - Forms
    • Symbol shortcut (Alt+2) - Tables
    • Symbol shortcut (Alt+3) - Parts list
    • Symbol shortcut (Alt+4) - Engineering symbols
    • Symbol shortcut (Alt+5) - Toolbox

Define the shortcut directories for the symbols

  1. Select the function Drawing | Symbols > Symbols selection directories.
    • The program opens the dialog box SYMBOL SELECTION DIRECTORIES.

  2. Enter the directory paths for the symbols.
    • It is possible to enter five different paths.
  3. Confirm the selection directories by clicking OK.
    • The data is stored in the user's home directory in the database d_SYMBOLDIR.
