Open a Project

General

• A project is automatically opened, when you read a document belonging to the project from the archives.
  • Open from the Archives or from a Library
• You can activate the project while you create a new archive document.
  • New Document to the Archive
• Only one project is active at a time, even if several documents from different projects are open on the Vertex desktop.
• The project connected to a model or drawing is activated at the same time you activate the archive document belonging to the project on the Vertex desktop.
• When you create a new archive document (model or drawing), it is directed under the active project by default.

Open or activate a project

1. Select Archives | Projects Open.
2. Enter the project search data.
   • When defining search terms, you can use an asterisk (*) to replace several characters or a question mark (?) to replace a single character.
   • The search is case-sensitive, if you select Match case.
3. Click OK to accept the search criteria
   • The program lists the projects matching the search criteria.
4. Select a project from the list
   • Double-click a project or
   • Select a project and confirm by clicking OK.
   • The label of the active project appears in the top bar of the Vertex desktop.
