New Project Dialog Box, One Template Project

The project archive contains only one project template, with the name TEMPLATE-DEF. New projects are by default based on this template. Define the properties of a new project in the dialog box.

Project id

Enter a label for the new project, with an up to 16 character-long alphanumeric string. Some special characters are allowed in the label. In the label, the following characters are allowed:

• letters: a-z, A-Z
• numbers from 0-9
• special characters: underscore (_)

Name

You can type a descriptive name for the project in the text field. The name is not obligatory.

Store in

Select the saving location for the project directory from the list. The program will populate the list with all ms_volume entries in the ../user/SETUP file that contain a subdirectory named Projects in their directories. The default saving location is defined in the ../user/SETUP file under the keyword project_ms. The keyword value should be an ms_volume definition.

Based on existing project

By default, projects are based on the TEMPLATE-DEF project template. If you want to create a project based on an existing project, select the Based on existing project check box. All directories, databases and files are copied from the selected base project to the new project. Select the template to be used from the list, or click the Browse button, which allows you to view more detailed information about the projects.

Get project data card from

If you are using a separate customer and order database, you can copy the project data card information from the system by clicking the Select button. Implementing this function requires customer fitting.
