Create an Assembly
Architectural
You can combine two or several building components to form an assembly. For example, you can use an assembly to combine a group of windows, when you want to add single trim boards around the entire group. Also furniture can be combined to form a building component assembly.
- Select the openings that will form the assembly.
- Select Window or Door | Trims | Create Assembly.
If you want to add an opening to an earlier formed assembly, select all the openings and recreate the assembly.
Remove an Opening from an Assembly
Remove an opening from an assembly as follows:
- Select an opening belonging to an assembly.
- Select Window or Door | Trims | Create Assembly.
Note:
- While adding opening trims the program treats openings near each other automatically as an assembly, and it is not necessary to build an assembly of the openings. The maximum distance between openings forming an assembly is defined in the BDSX keyword group with the keyword opng_comb_dist. If the distance between the openings is greater than the maximum distance, the assembly can be formed using the function Window or Door | Trims | Create Assembly.
- An assembly automatically formed of openings near each other while adding opening trims, must also be dismounted with this function.
