Change the Label Prefix

You can change label prefixes for the selected panels as follows:

  1. Select Output | Panels and Trusses | Change Label . You can use the function to edit panel labels in two ways:
    • Renumber Panels - This is the default method. The status bar displays the following prompt: "Renumbering Panels (number): Select a panel (1)."
    • Change the label prefix - The status bar displays the following prompt: "Renumbering Panels (prefix): Select a panel."
  2. Check the renumbering mode in the status bar prompt.

    If necessary, switch the renumbering mode using the Switch renumbering mode function in the auxiliary menu until the prompt reads as follows: "Renumbering Panels (prefix): Select a panel."

  3. Do one of the following:
    • Select an individual panel.
    • Press and hold the Ctrl key or use area selection to select several panels.
    • Select all the panels by pressing Ctrl+A.
  4. Select Confirm. The Panel Numbering dialog box opens.
  5. Type a new prefix in the dialog box.
  6. Confirm by clicking OK.

    The prefix you entered is updated in all the selected panels. The panel numbers will remain unchanged.
