Move and Rotate Geometry
If Meters is selected as the site location representation method in the building coordinates, a dialog box opens in the DWG file conversion where you can select to move and rotate the drawing geometry, and select the drawing scale.
- When you open a DWG drawing or read it as a reference drawing, the Transform Imported DWG dialog box opens.
- When you save the floor plan of a building to a DWG file, the Transform Exported DWG dialog box opens.
Dialog Box Options
- Move to global origin
- The dialog box shows the coordinates given in the building coordinates in meters.
- Import a DWG file: The geometry of the DWG drawing is offset in the floor plan. The offset is in the x direction -(Site east coordinate) * 1000 mm and in the y direction -(Site north coordinate) * 1000 mm.
- Save a drawing as a DWG file: The geometry of the drawing is offset in the DWG file. The offset is in the x direction -(Site east coordinate) * 1000 mm and in the y direction -(Site north coordinate) * 1000 mm.
- Rotate
- The dialog box shows the model angle given in degrees in the building coordinates.
- Import a DWG file: The geometry of the DWG drawing is rotated in the floor plan.
- Save a drawing as a DWG file: The geometry of the drawing is rotated in the DWG file.
- Scale
- Select the scale from the list.
- Import a DWG file: For example, if the scale of the DWG drawing is 1:1000, select 1000:1 as the scale in the conversion.
- Save a drawing as a DWG file: Select the desired scale for the DWG drawing.
