Upload Model to Vertex Showroom

Vertex Showroom is a cloud-based platform for sharing Vertex models. Read more in the Showroom product documentation (English only): https://kb.vertex.fi/showroomen.

Before uploading a model to Showroom, you can hide objects from the model that you do not want to display in Showroom.

To upload a model to Vertex Showroom:

1. Select File > Export > Upload to Vertex Showroom.
2. Log in by entering your email address and password. If you are a new user, click Sign Up.
3. Select the settings in the dialog box:
   • Share model - You can share the model when a Showroom link exists. First, export the model to Showroom, which will create a link, and then select Upload to Vertex Showroom again. You can copy the link to your clipboard by clicking Copy link. You can share the link with another user who is registered with Showroom. Enter the user’s email address and click Send link. The model will be visible to the other user in Showroom (Models > Shared with me).
   • Model name - Enter a name that will be displayed in Showroom.
   • Description - Enter a description that will be displayed in Showroom.
   • Update model - You can update a model that you have previously exported to Showroom. Clear the check box to upload the model as a new model to Showroom.
   • Advanced settings - You can select the following advanced settings:
     • Export lights
     • Export active lights only
     • Export metadata
     • Export viewpoints
     • Export point cloud
     • Export annotations
     • Enable geometry simplification
       • Force geometry simplification
       • Target for geometry removal
       • Maximum geometrical error
4. Click Export.

   You will receive a message indicating whether or not the model was successfully published.

   Log in to Showroom at https://showroom.vertex.fi/ to view the published model.
