Rectangle (2D)
General
- A rectangle is drawn by clicking three points, the first two points determine the direction and length of the side of the rectangle and the third point the width of the rectangle.
Draw a rectangle
- Select Drafting | Lines | Closed > Rectangle.
- Select the line properties, if necessary.
- Click the first two points of the rectangle.
- The point determine the direction and length of the side of the rectangle.
- You can also enter the second point from the keyboard, for example:
- Enter: 50 - The rectangle is oriented 50mm to the right from the first point.
- Enter: -50 - The rectangle is oriented 50mm to the left from the first point.
- Enter: ,50 - The rectangle is oriented 50mm up from the first point.
- Enter: ,-50 - The rectangle is oriented 50mm down from the first point.
- Select the third point, which defines the width of the rectangle.
- You can also enter the width of the rectangle from the keyboard, but first move the cursor to the side of the first line on which you want to draw the rectangle.
