Add a Model Only to the Active Configuration

When adding a model (part or assembly) into an assembly, you can make it visible only in the active configuration. The model is hidden in all other configurations. If you don't select this function, the model will be visible in all configurations. If you want to manage the model's visibility in other configurations, you can do it with the function Hiding at Configurations.

  1. Add a Model to an Assembly.
  2. Select the auxiliary function Added instance is visible only at active configuration.
  3. Select the model position in the assembly. The model is rendered in the active configuration and hidden in all other configurations.
Note: This function does not exist if there is only one configuration in the assembly.
