Save parts as a new subassembly

First, model parts to the main level off the assembly. Then, select parts and create a new subassembly from them.

1. Select one or more parts from the assembly tree or model.
2. Select the context-sensitive function Save as Assembly....
3. Define the data of the new document:
   • Name the part in the Label field.
   • Select To Project when creating a document for a specific project. Activate an existing project by clicking the Select button, or create a new project by clicking the New button.
   • Select Local, which saves the assembly as a local assembly.
4. Click OK.
