Part Configuration as a Mock-up

We recommend creating part mock-ups as configurations where features are hidden from the original geometry while retaining the elements attached to geometric constraints of the assembly in the configuration.

Assembly configurations are created by hiding parts.

You can create a lightweight model from a model with no feature history by combining its existing geometry using Boolean operations or by modeling a simple geometry. Feature history is missing from, for example, models imported from a different software.
