Sketch Line Colors

The constraints in a sketch are illustrated as follows:

  • Black: The line and its point are fully defined.
  • Dark purple: The other end of a line or the center of a circle or arc has been defined. Also a line, which is otherwise defined but whose end point is not defined.
  • Light purple: A line's end points or the center of a circle is not fixed, even though the line has some constraints like the length, angle, tangent, etc.
  • Red: The line is overdefined.
  • Blue: The line is associative to a part or ealier geometry of a part. This happens, when a line is copied to a sketch plane.
  • Gray: A line does not belong in this sketch.
