Creating a New Support Component

Piping Design

Model the support or import it to the software in different file formats. Finally, save the support to the support library.

  1. Model the support using G4 modeling tools or import the support using one of the software-supported file formats.
  2. Define the support part or assembly as a pipe part or pipe assembly without pipe grip points.
    1. Part model: Change the part’s type to Normal and Pipe Component from the part's properties.
    2. Assembly model: Select Pipe assembly as the assembly property. Assembly Properties
  3. Select the context-sensitive function Save to library.
  4. Save the component to the folder components\Plant\Primaarikannakkeet (fin) or components\Plant\Primarysupports (eng)
  5. The program automatically suggests saving to the primary support library. Create a new library or select an already created custom primary support library, after which the program will open the primary support library database view.
  6. Enter at least the mandatory information, i.e. the fields marked in red. Once the data has been entered and approved, a new generic support item will be created in your custom primary support library.
