Update Text Symbols

Text symbol update is used, for example, to refresh a drawing's label area. The program updates the text symbol contents from the project, model and drawing archives.

The text symbol update function also updates the texts that have been associatively attached to the element.

When positioning a text symbol, note that the updated text is positioned in relation to the position point.

  1. Select Drafting | Text Update.

Note

  • Remove hidden lines in the drawing and update the text symbols by pressing Shift+F5.
  • You can enable the automatic update of text symbols with the keyword text_macro_auto_fill in the DRAFT keyword group.

    text_macro_auto_fill= A B C

    A=0, B=0 and C=0 or C has not been defined: Text symbols are updated by selecting Drafting | Text Update.

    A=1: Text symbols are updated automatically when a drawing is opened by using the function > Open File.

    B=1: Text symbols are updated automatically when a drawing sheet is opened from the project's document browser or by using the function Output | Drawings | Drawing Sheets.

    C=1: Undefined text symbols are not updated. The program automatically updates only text symbols with a content.
