Divide a Horizontal Structure Layer into Parts

You can divide a structural layer into parts by clicking the points of the clipping line.

1. Select a structure and a layer.

   Select a Structure and a Layer

2. Do either of the following:
   • Select Plane Structure | Volume | Clip.
   • Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu, and select Clip Area Layer.
3. Indicate the clipping polyline.
4. Select Confirm.

• When you divide a layer in a model, first select a view where it is easy to the clipping line. For example, select Top View from the tool strip.
• You can reunite the clipped areas with the function Merge Structures.
