Architectural, Framer

  1. Select > Export Edit PDF Set Settings.
  2. Edit the settings in the database view.

PDF Output Settings

Add a row to the database, see Editing Vertex Databases. Edit the fields of the new row.

General

Order
You can define the order of the rows in the database view by entering a serial number in the field. The serial number also determines the drawing order in the PDF file.
Drawing name or [Panel Type]
The contents of the field becomes the first heading in the table of contents in the PDF file. You can type the text you want in the field.
You can define all the panel drawings in the project's se folder to be saved in the PDF file on a single row by typing se/SE*.vxp in the Drawing name field, and by typing the title you want as the drawing name. Each panel drawing will be saved as a separate page in the PDF file. In the table of contents of the PDF file, the beginning of the drawing heading is the text typed in the Drawing name or [Panel Type] field, followed by the panel label.
Alternatively, you can limit the panel drawings to be saved in the PDF file according to their type by selecting one of the options in the square brackets [] from the list. For example, select [WallPanel] to save all the wall panel drawings in the se folder in the PDF file, or select [SelectWallPanel] to allow the user to choose the wall panel drawings to be saved in the PDF file when printing the PDF set.
  • [WallPanel]
  • [FloorPanel]
  • [RoofPanel]
  • [Truss]
  • [SelectWallPanel]
  • [SelectFloorPanel]
  • [SelectRoofPanel]
  • [SelectTruss]
Drawing File
The file name of the drawing included in the drawing set. Only the name of the folder in the project folder is required as the path name, for example:
view_sheets/1floor.vxp
You can refer to several drawing files by using the wildcard character *. For example, you can refer to all the project's panel drawings:
se/SE*.vxp
You can refer to all the project's window and door sheets:
opngs/*.vxp
If the file is directly in the project folder, only the file name is required, for example:
mydrawing*.vxp
You can also select a drawing by clicking the Drawing File button. It opens a list of all the drawings in the FILEINFO database. Drawings to which additional information, such as description or drawing number, has been set are saved in the FILEINFO database.

Layer Group

Layer Group Settings
Set
Defines the drawing set to which the drawing belongs. All the drawings included in a drawing set will be saved in one PDF file.
Sheet, Force to Sheet
The drawing will be scaled according to the selected sheet when Force to Sheet is selected. Select the sheet size from the Sheet list.
Otherwise the program selects a sheet on which the drawing fits.

Condition

Condition
The option condition can only be used, if you have defined options for the building, see Option System. If the option condition is true in the solved option model, the drawing is included in the PDF file. Click the Condition button to select the option condition from the Options database.
Select Options Dialog Box
If the field is empty, the drawing is always included in the PDF file regardless of the solved options.

Note

  • When you close the database, the program checks if all the drawing files included in the drawing sets exist. If a file cannot be found, the file name is displayed in a message box. You can select one of the following:
    • Check - The program reopens the database for editing. Check the drawing file name, or delete the row from the database, if necessary.
    • Ignore - The database remains unchanged.

Several files may be missing. If necessary, you can disable the checking by setting the keyword check_pdfpicts= 0 in the BDSXX keyword group.

  • The settings will be saved in the PDFPICTS database in the project folder. You can copy the settings to a template project, or to any other project by copying the following files from one project folder to another:

    d_PDFPICTS
