Create a New Library in the Browser
Open the library browser by selecting System | Libraries | Libraries.
There are two ways to create a library in the library browser:
- Create a new empty library.
- Select a set of components and copy them to a new library.
Create a new empty library
- In the browser, select a library of the desired type. The library can be a standard system library or your own library.
- Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
- Select Create New Library.
- Type a description for the library.
The new library appears in a sub folder of the selected library type in the browser's Custom Libraries main folder. You can add components to a library by copying components from another library of the same type.
Copy components to a new library
- In the browser, select a library of the desired type. The library can be a standard system library or your own library.
- Select one or more components in the right side browser pane.
- Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
- Select Copy to New Library.
- Type a description for the library.
The new library appears in a sub folder of the selected library type in the browser's Custom Libraries main folder. The copied components appear in the right side browser pane.
Note:
- The program automatically generates the name of the library folder on the disk.
- System tab is only available if you are a system administrator.
