Browsers
Browsers are used for browsing documents in different libraries and archives. A document here means a drawing, a model, a component, a symbol or material, for example. Depending on the Vertex application, the browser may open at program startup or when you select a specific function.
With the browser open, select a folder in the browser folder structure to see thumbnails of the documents in the folder. Use the arrow keys to move between folders.
A folder may also contain subfolders. You can recognize a subfolder from the thumbnail symbol:
When you move the cursor over the thumbnail, you can preview the document’s data. Select the desired document by double-clicking a thumbnail. The browser closes, and depending on the browser’s mode, the document either opens or you can add it to a drawing or model.
You can use the history to find previously added documents. You can also use the search functions to find a document. Depending on the Vertex application and the browser, different search functions are available.
The browser will remember the last selected folder even after you restart the program.
