Edit Keyboard Shortcut Settings
In the basic software delivery, a shortcut key has been selected for some functions to enable the function to be started quickly from the keyboard. If necessary, you can add or change functions connected to the keys.
- Select > Preferences > Keyboard Shortcuts.
- Select the function in either of the following ways:
- Activate the desired tab, and click a button on the ribbon bar or in a menu that opens from the button.
- In the tree structure at the left side of the dialog box, the functions have been grouped according to the tabs on the ribbon bar. Open the desired tab and group, and select the name of a function. Right-click and select Define Shortcut.
- Press the key or key combination to which you want to connect the function.
- If the key is free, the program will add the function and the key to the list on the right side of the dialog box.
- If the key has already been connected to another function, you will be prompted: Shortcut is already in use for another function. Are you sure you want to replace it? If you select Yes, the program adds the function and the key to the list. Cancel by pressing No.
- Some keys cannot be used as shortcut keys. In this case, a message blinks at the bottom of the dialog box: Key is not available for shortcuts. For example, such keys are: comma (,), period (.), hyphen (-), H, K, F2, Tab.
- Confirm by clicking OK.
Note: You can restore the software supplier’s default settings by clicking Restore Defaults.
