Window Properties

The properties depend on the window type. The most common properties in the standard window library included in the basic software delivery are presented below.

Base Data

Dimensions
Width (W) x height (H) as module multiples. If you change the dimensions, the fields Label and Code are updated automatically.
Side dimension
Side dimension (S) defines the location of a vertical piece in a divided window.
Top dimension
Top dimension (T) defines the location of a horizontal piece in a divided window.
Top angle
The angle of the top edge of a window that is slanted (aT1). Enter the desired value as degrees in the text field, for example 33.3.
Additional top angle
The additional angle of the top edge of a window that is slanted (aT2). Enter the desired value as degrees in the text field, for example 33.3.
Bottom angle
The angle of the bottom edge of a window that is slanted (aB). Enter the desired value as degrees in the text field, for example 33.3.
Top middle point
You can define a point after which the slope changes in a window with a slanted part at the top edge. Define the point by entering its distance (d) from the edge of the window.
Label
The label added to the 2D drawing.
Code
The code consists of the type and size.
Save
You can create a new window in the window library by editing the properties of the selected window and saving the new window in the window library. You can edit all of the properties displayed in the dialog box. If you change the dimensions of the window, the properties Label and Code are updated automatically.

Width
Sum dimension = Frame dimension + Tolerance.
By default, Frame dimension = Width dimension - Module offset. The width dimension is defined as module multiples on the Base Data page. If necessary, enter the desired value as millimeters in the field.
The default tolerance is defined in the basic parameters of the building. If necessary, enter the desired value as millimeters in the field.
Height
Sum dimension = Frame dimension + Tolerance.
By default, Frame dimension = Height dimension - Module offset. The height dimension is defined as module multiples on the Base Data page. If necessary, enter the desired value as millimeters in the field.

Frame
The frame width.
Frame Location
By default, the opening is positioned in the center of the wall frame. In the Frame Location field, you can type the offset from the default position. The positive direction is outwards from the center of the frame.
Header Height
The height of the top edge of the window in relation to the floor base height.
Module offset
The parameter is used to define the frame dimensions of the opening in the horizontal and vertical directions. Enter the desired value in the field.
Frame dimension = Dimension - Module offset
For example:
Width = 6M = 600 mm,Module offset = 10
Frame dimension = 600 -10 = 590 mm
Initial U-Value
The U value is used in the energy calculations. Indicative U values have been determined for the building components in the structure libraries included in the basic software delivery.
