Dimension Table Data

Define numerical values for the variables modifying a building component's geometry in the dimension table. You can edit the component by changing the value of an individual variable. The dimension table opens when you select a component for editing.

Dialog Box Options

Dimension Table / Sorted by Parts
Select the presentation method of the dimension constraints in the dimension table. The alternatives are:
  • Dimension Table - Condensed presentation. Variables common to several parts are displayed only once in the dimension table.
  • Sorted by Parts - Part-specific presentation. All variables are presented part-specifically in the dimension table.
If you choose Sorted by Parts as the presentation method, you can use the familiar Windows functions Expand All, Collapse All or Find (Ctrl+F).
Dimension, Value
The dimension constraint variable and the value of the variable are displayed next to each other on the row. Select the dimension constraint value for editing by clicking the Value field. Enter a new value for the dimension constraint. Update the change to the preview image by clicking the Preview button. If you have enabled automatic update, the change will be updated in the preview image when you click the Value field of another dimension constraint.
Preview
If you modify the value of a dimension constraint, you can update the changes in the preview image by clicking the Preview button.
Automatic update
If you change the value of a dimension constraint, the geometry change will be automatically updated in the component's preview image.
2D / 3D Accurate / 3D Coarse
You can choose the component's presentation method in the preview image of the dimension table.
Note:
  • Some building components have a form file which is used for editing the parameters. The dimension table will not open for such components.
