Connect Walls on Top of Each Other or Side by Side

Architectural, Framer

You can connect one or more walls on top of each other or side by side to a mother wall. When the walls have been connected, they can be moved as a group. When two walls are connected, a window or a door can be added to one of them, and it will create an opening through both walls.

  1. Select the mother wall.
  2. Select Wall | Wall | Connect.
  3. Select the wall connection type in the dialog box.

  6. If you selected the connection type Stacked wall, you can also select the following additional properties:
    • If you want to merge the sidings of the walls, select the check box Merge sidings.
    • If you want the windows and doors to be presented according to the thickest wall in the 2D drawing, select the check box Place doors and windows using thickest wall as reference.
Note:
  • You can also select Modeling | Connection | Joint Wall Connect. Select the connection type, click the mother wall and the walls to be connected, and select Confirm.
  • You can separate connected walls from each other by using the Disconnect Walls function, after which a window or a door that made an opening through both walls will remain only in the wall that was selected when adding the window or the door.
