Copy Objects to Another Building

Copy the selected objects from one building to another via the clipboard. The building components are positioned in the target building to drawing-model pairs which match the source building, if possible. If the target building does not have a suitable drawing-model pair, the program asks the user to which drawing-model pair the objects are positioned. Connections to other building components are also copied, if the connecting structures are equivalent in the target building and you position the copy so that a similar connection is possible. If the building components to be copied are bound to each other with geometric constraints, these are also copied, but constraints to other building components are not. The building components are bound to the height levels closest to their position in the target building.

You can also copy panels and panel parts from one building to another via the clipboard.

  1. Open the building from which you wish to copy the objects.
  2. Select one or more objects. In the model, you can select objects in different drawing-model pairs.
  3. Do either of the following:
    • Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu and select Clipboard> Copy.
    • Press Ctrl+C.
  4. Click a reference point.
  5. Open the target building.
  6. Do either of the following:
    • Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu and select Clipboard> Paste.
    • Press Ctrl+V.
  7. Select the location.
Note:
  • If all connections cannot be copied, you will receive the prompt: "All connections are not reformed".
