Hide Objects by Type

The components and basic geometry elements used in the designing of a building are grouped according to their object type. You can hide and display the 2D and 3D geometry of objects of the selected object type as follows:

  1. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
  2. Select Advanced > Display Geometry by Type. The function opens a window with a list of all object types used in the building. As a default, all object types are selected (on blue background color).
  3. Select the object types the geometry of which you want to be displayed.
    • Select one object type by clicking the left mouse button.
    • Select several object types by holding down the Ctrl key and clicking the left mouse button.
    • Select all object types on the list by clicking the All button or by pressing Ctrl+A.
  4. Close the list by clicking the OK button.

The program leaves all the objects of the selected object types visible and hides the rest.

Restoring the Visibility of Objects

When you want to display all the objects, reselect the function and select all the object types in the list.

Note:
  • You can also hide the objects as follows:
    • Create a hiding group that may contain objects of any object type, see Create a Hiding Group. You can toggle the visibility of the group.
    • Select the objects to be displayed in the model regardless of the object type and hide the rest, see Hide Unselected Objects.
    • Hide the selected objects in the model, see Hide a Selected Object.
    • Hide the selected component so that its geometry is visible only in the drawing but not in the model, or vice versa. See 2D/3D Presentation.
