2D/3D Presentation

Building components have both 2D and 3D geometries. The geometry can be displayed in the drawing or the model of a drawing-model pair or in both of them at the same time. If it is possible to select the visibility of geometry, you can do it when adding a building component using the functions in the auxiliary menu. As a default, a building component is visible in both the drawing and the model.

  • Representation in 2D Drawing
  • Representation in 3D Model

You can use the functions in the context-sensitive menu to change the visibility of a building component that has already been added.

Hiding Geometry from a Model

  1. Select the components in the model.
  2. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
  3. Select Presentation > 2D only.

Hiding Geometry from a Drawing

Restoring the Visibility of Geometry in Both the Drawing And the Model

  1. Select the building components in the working window where their geometry is visible.
  2. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
  3. Select Presentation > 2D and 3D.
Note:
  • You can also hide building components from the drawing/model in the following ways:
  • If the building component only has a 2D or a 3D geometry, the presentation method cannot be changed.
  • You can also select the visibility when adding a profile, in the dialog box where you select the profile properties (included in the Vertex BD Architectural product).
