Freeze Part Numbers
Framer
When editing the parts of a panel and updating the panel drawing, the part labels can always be recreated. You can prevent this by using the part number freezing function. This function strives to maintain the existing part numbers as unchanged as possible. It is primarily intended to be used in situations where the production has already begun while the design is still in progress.
Only applicable to profiles.
- Select the panels.
- Do either of the following:
- Select Panel | Freeze Part Numbers.
- Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu, and select Freeze Part Numbers.
Once the part numbers have been frozen, you can edit the part numbers in the panel by editing the part label properties:
- Open the panel drawing.
- Select a part label.
- Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
- Select Properties.
- Edit the label in the dialog box.
- Confirm by clicking OK.
Note:
- When you edit the part number in the panel drawing, the change applies to all parts in the drawing that have the same label.
- If the building-specific part numbering system is enabled (identical parts in separate panels are assigned the same part number) and you edit the part number in the panel drawing, the change will also apply to other panels' parts that carry the same label. The user will be warned in situations where the change will affect panels that do not have frozen part numbering. The numbering system used depends on the customer fitting.
