Panel Drawings
Framer
A panel drawing shows different views of the panel and schedules of the panel parts. The panel can be a wall, floor, roof, truss or beam panel or a panel assembly.
An asterisk (*) after the panel label marked in the drawing of a drawing-model pair indicates that the panel drawing is not up to date. When you create or update the panel drawing, the asterisk is removed from the label. You can check the status of the building’s panel drawings, and create, update or open the drawings, if necessary:
You can also select the panels in the floor plan or in the model, and create or open the drawings by using the following functions:
Template Drawings
The panel drawing is based on the selected template drawing. The basic delivery of the software includes template drawings for both A4 and A3 sheets. The locations and sizes of the views and schedules to be added to the panel drawing are defined in the template drawing. The default scale of the view is determined by the size in which it fits into the view area. You can edit a template drawing for example by adding or editing texts.
When you created the panels, you selected a part numbering system which determines how the parts (beams), sheathing and joints of the floor or roof panel are numbered. The program will automatically number and catalog the different parts of the panel when you create the panel drawing.
Saving Folder of Panel Drawings
The panel drawings are temporarily stored in the Tmp folder in the building folder. Final panel drawings are saved in the Se folder in the building folder when the building is saved. After saving, the drawings are displayed in the Structural drawings branch in the building's document browser.
Just like with buildings, previously saved versions are also kept of the panel drawings. The panel drawings have the same version number as the building. When you close a building, you can select old versions to be deleted and keep only the latest saved version of both the building and the panel drawings.
