Data Collected from a Building Model
The following data is collected from the model for energy calculation:
- Areas
The area data of the building are read from the floor area and total floor area hatches added to the floor plan drawing of each floor. You can add the hatches by selecting Output | Zone |
Building Area.If the area figures have not been added, the program will read the areas from the building data card. In the building data card included in the basic software delivery, the area data are located in the Sqm and Total sqm fields on the Building data page.
- U Values of Building Components
The U values of building components can be defined in the structure libraries or individually in the opened buildings. Indicative U values have been determined for the building components in the structure libraries included in the basic software delivery. If the thickness or materials of a component are edited in the building model, the U value will not be updated automatically; it has to be redefined, if necessary.
- Building information
Designer and customer data are read from the building data card.
