Add a Supporting Structure
You can add a supporting structure consisting of two columns to a log wall. The columns are located on both sides of the wall. Add the supporting structure in the floor plan or in the model. The columns and the fastening bolts are also displayed in the log work drawing. The column dimensions as well as the number and length of the bolts are collected to the bill of materials, when you collect the building's materials.
- Select Modeling | Accessory Component | Component gallery Component. The browser is opened.
- Select the Log Wall folder in the browser.
- Double-click the supporting structure's thumbnail in the browser.
- Select the wall.
- Edit the parameters of the supporting structure. Select Parameters from the auxiliary menu. A database view opens.
- Select auxiliary function for positioning, if necessary.
- Select a location for the supporting structure.
Note:
- The supporting structure is added on the layer 212 in the floor plan. The label of the supporting structure is added on the layer 213.
- The object type of the supporting structure is Macros.
- You can edit the parameters of an existing structure by double-clicking it in the floor plan drawing, in the model or in the log wall elevation.
