Sub Models

Sub Models is an add-on option to the software. For example, sub models can be used for planning terraced houses or blocks of flats by using a separate sub model for each flat in a terraced house or each floor in a block of flats.

A sub model is a building whose drawing-model pair can be referred to from an active main model. The drawing-model pair of a sub model is added to the active main model as a reference drawing-model pair. You cannot edit the sub model in the main model to which you added it, but you need to open it for editing using a separate function.

In these instructions, the building to which the sub model is added is referred to as the "main model".

When you open the main model, the sub models are opened in the state they were in when you last saved the main model.
