Master Options Database View

Option System

Edit the Master database in the Master Options database view. You can add items to the database by selecting one of the following functions from the menu bar of the database view:

  • Edit > Copy Row
  • Edit > Add Row Before
  • Edit > Add Row After

Edit the fields of the new row.

Database View Fields

Option ID
The key field. Option ID is the label of the option (16-character limit). The ID will be displayed on the drawing where you add the option. It is also used to identify the option when the option is edited or solved.
In addition to the user defined name, you can select one of the following values from the list:
  • header - A header does not define a true option. You can use the header alternative to define a group of options. Define the header as the main level of options and then define sub options under the header. Type a description of the group in the Option name field.
  • default - The default option for structure or components
  • reverse_building - An option which reverses (flips) the house or drawing about a user defined axis.
Allowed characters in the option ID are:
  • the letters: a-z, A-Z
  • numbers from 0-9
  • special characters: underscore (_)
Do not use following character strings within the option ID: or, and, not. For example motorrm.
Option name
User defined option description. Notice, that you will later select the options to be tested or solved on the basis of the description. Select a description which makes it easy for you to select the right options.
Description
Descriptive option name to further define the option (20 character limit). It can be used to export information to an external office system.
Image
An image of the model view you have defined in the 3D model window. It can be exported to an external office system.
Note:
  • You can remove rows from the database by selecting the function Edit > Delete Row from the menu bar of the database view.
