Designing a Stair with the Stair Tool
You can use the Stair Tool to design stairs from the parts in the stair library: steps, strings and railings. You can select different start and middle balusters for railings. A stair is an assembly comprising different parts.
- Do either of the following:
- Select Modeling | Accessory Component | Component gallery Stair.
- Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu, and select Stair Tool.
- Select the stair type and parameters in the Stair Generator dialog box.
- If necessary, change the reference point of the stairs, rotate or mirror the stairs, or select another function from the auxiliary menu.
- Select the location of the stairs in the drawing.
Note:
- You can also add basic stairs by selecting a preset stair type from the Stairs menu.
