Add an Eave Return Macro

You can add an eave return to the eave of a gable roof.

  1. Activate the model window.
  2. Select the roof slope.
  3. Move the cursor near the corner grip point.
  4. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
  5. Select Add Eave Return Macro.
  6. Define the eave return properties in the dialog box.

    • Depth (D)

Note:
  • The surfaces of the eave return and the eaves trim will be merged in the elevation drawing if you have selected the Merge Surfaces property in the settings of the elevation drawing generation model, see Edit a Drawing Generation Model. Merging the surfaces requires that the eave return be connected to the eaves trim.
