Define a Room Card

Once you have defined materials for the rooms of the building, you can create a room card for each room.

  1. When you create the room cards for the first time, select Output | Zone | Room Card. Later, you can recreate the room cards by using the same function, or you can select the function in the building document browser:
    1. Move the cursor on the title Architectural documents / Room Cards.
    2. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
    3. Select Define Room Card.
  2. Select the room card template from a list, for example the Room_Card.rtf which is included in the basic software delivery.

    The program creates a room card for each room definition in the building, and saves them in the Room_Cards folder in the building folder.

  3. Open the room cards in the application associated with the rtf file extension by using the function Opening a Room Card, or by double-clicking a room card name in the building document browser.
Note:
  • The room card template is stored in the ../system/rtf/templates folder. You can edit the template as follows:
    1. Copy the rtf folder from the ../system folder to the ../custom folder. Do not edit the files in the system folder!
    2. Open the file room_card.rtf in the ../custom/rtf/templates folder in the application associated with the file extension, for example Microsoft ® Word.
    3. Edit the file. For example, you can add your own logo to the file.
    4. Save and close the file.
    5. Regenerate the room cards.
