Coarse/Accurate Representation
Building components can be presented in a model in two ways:
- Coarse - Individual details of the model are not visible. The use of the coarse method of presentation speeds up work, and is thus recommended.
- Accurate - The details of the model, for example roundings, are visible. Window and door glass is transparent.
If a building component can be presented in both ways, the method of presentation is selected when the component is added. Such building components include walls, windows, doors, furnishings, stairs and railings. You can select the method of presentation with the functions in the auxiliary menu. The default method is different for different building components. For example, walls use the coarse method of presentation by default, while windows use the accurate method.

You can use the functions in the context-sensitive menu to change the presentation method of a building component that has already been added.
- Select one or more building components.
- Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
- Do either of the following:
- Select Presentation > Accurate.
- Select Presentation > Coarse.
Note:
- The default wall representation is defined in the BDSX keyword group of the system settings with the keyword wall_accurate. With the keyword value 0, the representation is rough by default, with a value of 1, accurate.
- The representation of building components can also be seen in the rendered model (Rendering add-on option).
