Edit the Framing Tool of a Layer

You can edit the framing tool of the same layers in one or more structures. The structure can be a panel (wall, floor or roof panel) or a floor or roof (expand layers).

1. Select a structure and a layer.

2. Do one of the following:
   • Select Panel | Framing | Framing Tools.
   • Select Plane Structure | Framing | Framing Tools.
   • Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu, and select Framing Tools.
3. Add or change the layer tool.

4. Edit the tool parameters in the dialog box.

   • Framing Tools: Main Frame of a Wall
   • Framing Tools: Wall Sheathing
   • Framing Tools: Horizontal Battens
   • Framing Tools: Frame - Wall Sub Frame
   • Framing Tools: Frame - Floor or Ceiling
   • Framing Tools: Sheathing
   • Framing Tools: Cladding
   • Framing Tools: Beam Combiner
   • Framing Tools: Pattern Design Tool - Pattern Design Tool is an add-on option of the Vertex BD software.
5. Then, add the parts again and update the panel drawings. The program prompts you to update the panel drawing when you open the drawing.
