Add Extensions

Framer

Add an extension to a truss end at the roof eave, in the direction of the top chord.

  1. Select Modeling | Accessory Component | Profile Eave Extension.
  2. Select the truss. Click the truss on the end and on the side on which you wish to add the extension.
  3. Select the cross section by using the Properties function. The cross section you selected will be set as the default until you select another cross section.
  4. Determine the extension length by doing one of the following:
    • Select the extension overhang and length or overlap using the Parameters function, and confirm the position of the extension's end point by selecting the Confirm function.
    • Select the extension overlap using the Parameters function, and select the position of the extension's end point by clicking.
