Clip a Log Wall
Log House Design
You can edit a log wall by selecting an area, logs outside of which will be cut and removed. It is easiest to select the points of the area to be cut in the elevation.
- Open the elevation of the log wall.
- Do either of the following:
- Select Log Wall Layout | Clip |
Log Wall.
- Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu and select
Clip Log Wall.
- Select Log Wall Layout | Clip |
- Select the points of the area using the cursor, type the coordinates of the points, or use
the snap functions in the context-sensitive menu. Lock the cursor, if necessary.
- Select Confirm. The program will add a line from the point you last
selected to the start point (in the example, from point 4 to point 1) and the polyline is
closed. The log sections left outside the area are cut and removed.
Note:
- The same limitations apply to the shape of the cut area as for the Hole in Log Wall function.
- Open the log wall elevation with the Edit Log Wall Shape function.
