Update Customer-specific Environment to Sync
The function is available for the Sync administrator.
You can update the environment changes on your own disk to the environment in the Sync service (custom and shared/lw folders). You can overwrite an old revision or make a new one.
- Select Archives | Sync |
Environments >
Update environment to Sync.
The Update Environment to Sync dialog box opens.
- Select either Overwrite revision or Create new revision, and enter a revision description.
- Select the files that will be uploaded to Sync. When you upload a changed environment, you can select only the files that have changed.
- Click Upload.
A window opens in the lower-right corner of the screen to display the progress of the upload. You can continue to work during the upload. When the upload is complete, the message "You may now close this window" appears in the window.
The environment is now active and used by the administrator. After this, other users can enable the environment in Vertex BD.
Unsynchronized environment
- Select Archives | Sync |
Environments. The Environments dialog box opens.
- Select the environment revision that has the Status column labeled Currently in use and the Info column labeled Unsynchronized.
- Right-click and select Upload environment to Sync. The Update Environment to Sync dialog box opens.
- Select either Overwrite revision or Create new revision.
- Click Upload.
A window opens in the lower-right corner of the screen to display the progress of the upload. You can continue to work during the upload. When the upload is complete, the message "You may now close this window" appears in the window.
If you do not want to upload an unsynchronized environment to Sync, you can remove it from the list by selecting Delete local work copy from the right-click menu. However, the changes made to the environment are still on your disk. You can restart the environment update to Sync if needed. Otherwise, activate the environment in the Sync service by setting it in use.
