View Tasks - Updating Views
Select the views to be updated in the View Tasks dialog box. You can select several views for updating at the same time by holding down the Ctrl key. You can also update a single view by selecting the function in the building’s document browser. In this case, it is no longer necessary for you to select the view in the dialog box.
Dialog Box Options
- Update views
- When you generate the views for the first time, select the Update views check box. The elevation, cross section and perspective views will then be updated to match the model and the drawing settings. If the check box is clear, the views are only opened without updating them.
- Update models
- When you generate the views for the first time, update the drawing generation models, if you have not already updated them by selecting the function Update and Open a Drawing Sheet or Build a Drawing Generation Model, for example. Update the drawing generation model also when you have modified the 3D model of the building.
- Drawing Settings
- The default drawing method of the views is wireframe. You can also select shading or Lightworks shading (requires the Rendering add-on option for the software) as the drawing method.
- Grid lines to section views
- You can select this property when the view you want to update is a section view. You can show the lines of a grid added to the floor plan in the section view.
- Quick section
- You can select this property when the view you want to update is a section view. A quick section is not as accurate as a regular section. A quick section does not add a hatch for the layers or building components.
- Opening style
- Select either of the following as the view's opening mode:
