Building-specific Component Libraries

As a rule, only the system administrator can edit component libraries using the Libraries function on the System tab. However, non-administrators can edit the building-specific component library using the function in the building's document browser.

  1. Open the building's document browser.
  2. Select the id of the building.
  3. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
  4. Select Building libraries. The library browser opens.

The browser displays the system's standard libraries, the customer-specific libraries and the building-specific libraries.

Building-specific libraries can be found in the main folder of the browser, Building libraries. You can also identify a building-specific library by the entry 1 in the In building column.

  4. Select Copy to new building library.
  5. Type a description for the library.

The new library appears in the browser's Building libraries main folder in a sub folder corresponding to the selected library type. The copied components appear in the right side browser pane.
