Edit the Space Library

You can create your own space library by copying space objects from the system library. The space library of the standard software delivery is System libraries / Spaces and zones / Spaces / Spaces.

  1. Open the library browser by selecting System | Libraries | Libraries.
  2. Open the branch Standard libraries / Spaces and zones / Spaces.
  3. Select the library, for example Spaces.
  4. Select one or more space objects in the right side browser pane.
  5. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
  6. Select Copy to new custom library.
  7. Type a description for the library.

In the library browser, the branch Custom Libraries / Spaces and zones / Spaces is activated, under which is the library you created.

You can edit the library data of a space object as follows:
  1. Select the library you created in the left-hand browser pane.
  2. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
  3. Select Edit library content.
  4. Edit the properties on the tabs of the database view:
    • Page 1
      • Code - Space label (CODE).
      • Name - Appears in the object tree. Depending on the selected label, appears in the label in the floor plan.
      • Description - Depending on the selected label, appears in the label in the floor plan.
      • Additional parameters - In this field, you can specify different properties separated by a vertical bar (|). The properties available in the system library are:
        • IsExternal - External. Can get a value of 0 (No) or 1 (Yes).
        • HandicapAccessible - Handicap accessible. Can get a value of 0 (No) or 1 (Yes).
        • PubliclyAccessible - Publicly accessible. Can get a value of 0 (No) or 1 (Yes).
        • OccupancyType - Occupancy type. The value can be a string.
        • OccupancyNumber - Occupancy number. The value can be an integer.
        • DX - Space label offset in the x axis direction. By default, the space label is placed in the middle of the space.
        • DY - Space label offset in the y axis direction. By default, the space label is placed in the middle of the space.
        • SpaceType - The type of space in area calculation.
        • PROREG_FIELD - The name of the PROREG database field to which the area determined by the space object is added.
        • AREA_CALC_SET -Area set defined in the system settings, whose calculation rules are applied to the space object.
        The properties you add to the field must be specified in the properties.xml file of the customer-specific space library. The file specifies the description of the property displayed in the interface, and the values that the property can receive. Properties are exported to an IFC file. Authorities in different countries have their own requirements for transferable properties.

      • Material of surface - Rendering material category.
      • 2D line - Name of the line in the system settings that defines the drawing properties of the border line in the drawing.
      • 3D line -Name of the line in the system settings that defines the drawing properties of the border line in the model.
      • Hatch - Name of the hatch in the system settings that defines the drawing properties of the hatch in the drawing.
      • Transparency - The transparency in the model, can have values 0-1. At a value of 0, the space is fully opaque, while a value of 1 means that it is fully transparent.
      • Volume color - Click the Color button to select a volume color in the model. The field shows the RGB value of the color.

      • IFC property set - Click the IFC button to select IFC property sets for the space.
      • Label - Click the Label button to select the space label displayed in the floor plan from the label library.
      • Sub type - Object type. The object type is exported to the XML transfer file (components.xml). In the system library, the following object types are defined for spaces:
        • S_APARTMENT - Apartment
        • S_BUILDING_AREA - Building area
        • S_BUILDING_VOLUME – Building volume
        • S_FLOOR_AREA - Floor area
        • S_TOTAL_FLOOR_AREA - Total floor area
        • S_ROOM - Room space
        • UNDEFINED - Undefined
  5. Confirm by clicking OK.
Note:
  • The program automatically generates the name of the library folder on the disk.
  • System tab is only available if you are a system administrator.
