Create and Print a Bill of Materials of a Designed Drawing
This function can be used to make a bill of materials in the header area of a designed 2D drawing.
- The attribute data of the elements is collected to the parts list, and is opened for viewing.
- You can edit or delete the data or add rows, if necessary.
- The generated parts list can be output to the drawing sheet, or to an external application, for example to a text file, or to Excel for further processing.
Do as follows:
- On the  tab, in the Mechanical group, select  Parts List, and select tab, in the Mechanical group, select  Parts List, and select Parts List. Parts List.
- Define the parts list data in the dialog box:- Select the output format.
- Select the collecting method in the Roll-out list.
- If you wish to transfer the part data to the product database, click the Transfer to database checkbox.
 
- Click OK.
Note: 
  - Edit the archives data of the drawing. On the  tab, in the Documents group, click Data, and edit data. tab, in the Documents group, click Data, and edit data.
- If a part number is missing from the part data, it is displayed as a number 0 in the bill of materials.
- View the part data of the specific element by selecting on the  Mechanical tab, in the Parts Lists group, click Mechanical tab, in the Parts Lists group, click Edit element attribute database. Edit element attribute database.
